East Carolina Football Flashback: UTEP Trip

East Carolina’s thrilling 45-42 overtime win over UTEP last Saturday won’t be forgotten anytime soon by Pirate fans. However, very few ECU supporters will be able to say they were actually on hand at the Sun Bowl for one of the more memorable games in the program’s history.

Pirate football letterman Greg Burke was one of the fortunate few who were able to cheer on the purple and gold in El Paso. He attended the game with fellow football letter winner Tom Frazier and Pirate fans Gary Rosenbaum, Tommy Clayton and Nathaniel Cauble.

Burke was kind enough to share his photos of the group’s El Paso experience (game, tailgating, etc.) as well as their trip to Las Cruces, NM and New Mexico State University.

He also provided a video showing the Pirate players celebrating with the East Carolina fans who were in attendance at the Sun Bowl!
