Pirates likely to receive pledge from South Brunswick’s StanleyIn-state defensive lineman likes East Carolina
First-year East Carolina head man Ruffin McNeill is a defensive-minded coach. Reports indicate McNeill is very close to keeping a talented Eastern North Carolina defensive lineman at home to play for the Pirates. East Carolina has been hot on the heels of South Brunswick’s Terrell Stanley (6’3”, 256) and sources say he is very close to choosing the purple and gold. Stanley, who is in the class of 2011, has also received offers from the likes of Arkansas, North Carolina State, Duke and Vanderbilt. He benches 350, squats 505, cleans 295 and has been timed as fast as 4.85 in the 40. He would be the seventh commitment for Ruffin McNeill’s first full recruiting class.
