Dougherty returns as administrative assistant
Florida-native wore the purple and gold from 2002-2006
First-year head coach Ruffin McNeill has added a familiar face to his initial staff at his alma mater.
McNeill is bringing former Pirate punter and kicker Ryan Dougherty home to fill the role of administrative assistant.
Dougherty, who played for the Pirates from 2003-2006 after redshirting in 2002, finished his East Carolina career with the fourth highest career punting average in the program’s history.
He had a brief preseason stint with the Green Bay Packers after leaving ECU
