The good news: Houston made it to a bowl game

The bad news: Houston got blown out by Kansas in their bowl game.

The Cougars again showed us how unpredictable this team is. The Cougars boast some very talented players but have been up and down all season. So why should the bowl game be anything different? Just when you think Houston will put it all together for their final game of the season, they get blown out by a Kansas team, who many said was a lower tier Big 12 team.

The Real
Kansas was a lot tougher than most think. They did beat Nebraska in Lincoln and knocked Iowa State out of the Big 12 Championship game. Remember folks, they do play in the Big 12.

The JayHawk defense shut down the Cougar offense limiting them to 214 yards.

Junior QB Kevin Kolb had 3 INTs, all of which resulted in Kansas scores.

NEWSFLASH: Houston and QB Kelb will be back in the thick of things in C-USA 2006.

One Last Note: The recap shouldn't be "how bad Kansas should have been," it should be "how good Houston should have been".
